The winners are... everyone who got out for a Saturday morning 5k blast last month.
There were 130 runs over the 5 weeks with 40 different runners completing at least one parkrun and there were 42 different parkrun venues visited. Topping the handicap stakes was Suz Cutler with a very impressive handicap adjusted time of 14:27. There were 6 other runners who managed to better their handicap time: Rob Hundley, Tony Follett, Helen Lane, Rebecca Crossley, Ian Riley & Lisa Williams. Well done to all.
Andy Lane won once again in the age graded category, bettering last year’s performance with a WAVA of over 79%. The minor places were filled by Christian Poulton, Kevin Baker, Richard Harris & Helen Lane – all with WAVAs over 70%, very impressive.
The consistency category was another close one. With Ian Riley prevailing, closely followed by Kevin Baker, Andy Lane, Richard Harris & Ian Jessop. All of these completed 3 or more runs within a minute of their handicap time.
There was only one runner who visited a different parkrun every week – Ivan Jeary who completed a scenic tour of the south west.
Suz will be presented with a handicap trophy at the next AGM & everyone mentioned above will be getting a little UKnetrunner gift for competing in the Summer parkrun – so please make sure your address details in your profile are up to date.
