Following the cancellation of Not the Roman IX and the Liverpool Marathon, we're looking to hold a replacement handicap event in the autumn. The contenders are:

Robin Hood Half & Full Marathon
The marathon returns after it was cancelled last year. The half is still on the newly revamped faster course first used in 2012. The races are held at the same time on the 29th September 2013. Full information available at http://www.robinhoodhalfmarathon.co.uk/

Bournemouth Running Festival
A whole weekend of running on the south coast. Maybe a bit of a trek for some, but it has a 10k at 4pm Saturday, with a 5k at 7pm. Then a Half Marathon at 8am and Marathon at 10m on the Sunday. We'd be looking at using the full marathon and either the 10k or half marathon for the handicap. October 5th/6th. http://www.run-bmf.com/

Leicester Half & Full Marathon
Another double whammy with half and full marathons being run at the same time. This one's on October 13th. http://www.leicestermarathon.org.uk/
