July Round-Up

 Thu Aug 06 2009, 09:51pm, 0 comments
The month was started with Brigitte Groves (and others) celebrating her birthday at the Launceston Half. This month Brigitte and Wendi Witton will continue the celebrations by running the Cotswolds Way. Us runners are a strange bunch finding ways to enjoy our birthdays! Happy Birthday once again to Brigitte.

Ian Thomas had a great July with 3 PBs over 5k, 10 miles and Half Marathon. Holding his nerve in front of 50,000 people Ian broke his 5k PB by 1 second. He also cracked 1:30 for the first time over 13.1 miles on a challenging course in deepest Gloucestershire.

Strengthening his grip on the Grand Prix, Matt Dunn returned from injury and inactivity with a new 5k PB.
