In Memory of Stephen Price

It is with great sadness that we announce that our club chair, Stephen Price has passed away. Stephen died suddenly and unexpectedly in his sleep in the early hours of this morning (8th August). Our thoughts and deepest condolences go to his family; especially his wife, Michelle and their young daughter, Freya.

Stephen has given so much to Uknetrunner over the years and we are thankful for the contribution he has made. He was a huge supporter of the club and it meant such a lot to him. He had many friends among the club members, past and present. It would be lovely if you could all share a few memories and / or photographs of Stephen in the comments.

Having met Stephen a few times and had numerous communication with him since I became membership secretary I will certainly miss his guidance through all things UKNetrunner. He loved this club and would show concern and love to every member both new and old. An amazing runner, a great club mate and an even more amazing friend. Gone too soon and will be missed but will never be forgotten. RIP Pricey!

I remember when Stephen joined UKnetrunner - it soon became obvious that he was a talented runner and I expected him to outgrow the club and move on - how very wrong I was - Pricey became the most committed of UKnetrunners and superb Chair. I didn't meet him very often (unfortunately) but had numerous interactions with him. A truly lovely bloke, great family man and supportive and positive always. Gone way too soon, but will always be remembered.

I also didn't meet Stephen but interacted with him through his "baby" UKNetrunner. Has made me very sad today, the randomness of our world seems so unfair. My heart goes out to his family and many friends.

This is such sad and shocking news. I never met Stephen in person, but interacted with him via the forums and email and he was always so approachable, knowledgeable and helpful. It is such a loss. My thoughts and condolences to his family.
