May was another strong month for both club records and personal bests at all distances, but particularly 5km and 10km. Pater Mickleburgh has had a big month, running 27 5km races and 2 10km races, notching up 3 5km PBs and a 10km PB along the way. Read more
After the second Saturday in June we have 23 runners who have completed a parkrun this month, with 12 members running both weeks and 10 of those running at a different location this week. There is a change at the top of the table, despite Pete Stockdale going sub-17 for the first time he loses the lead to Simon Hibbert who sliced more than half a minute off his PB to lead the handicap table by just 3 seconds, so its all still to play for. April was certainly the month for Spring marathons with an impressive list of personal bests being logged. Both William Shippin and Jonathan Channell going one better by hitting the marathon PB bell twice in one month. Read more
It was noted in the November round up that colder weather had finally arrived, it’s a shame it took until last week to finally depart! It has been a long cold winter of disrupted training and prompting the cancellation on our annual handicap race, Not the Roman 9.
So as spring seems to have well and truly sprung it is worth looking back at some notable winter achievements. Read more
The first club handicap of the year was held over a hilly course down in the lovely spa town of Tunbridge Wells in Kent. There was a close finish between Alex Finch & Dave Smedley with Alex just coming out on top. Read more
