How did it feel to win so many awards at the AGM?

It obviously felt really great to come away with four awards from the AGM, especially as I've never won anything for running before....and I've been running since I was 18. I think it emphasised that I've probably had the best running year of my life in 2013. It was especially satisfying to win the Achievement award, to receive the recognition of your own club for your personal achievements throughout the year is something special.

What were your hightlights of 2013?

There were several special highlights throughout the year, running marathons in Barcelona and Amsterdam amongst them, but the Centurion North Downs Way 100 was the best. I've wanted to achieve the goal of completing a 100 mile race for some time and this was the culmination of three years of hard training towards that goal. The race and the feeling of actually finishing was made even more special by the support I received from members of UKnetrunner.

What are your favourite place to run?

Off road, the hills and trails around Derbyshire especially the Chatsworth Estate and Beeley Moor and the Monsal, Tissington and High Peak trails for long runs. I also have a soft spot for the White Peak Marathon run by Matlock Athletics Club.
